MY HOMETOWN KAWAGUCHI
In the old days, the smell of burning iron was everywhere in the city.
It smells more like melting iron than burning iron.
Many people disliked the smell, but I like it.
This smell was always coming from the foundry that was located in the city.
Although it has decreased now. But it's still there.
KAWAGUCHI is a town of high-quality castings that receives orders from all over the world.
Fill it with sand, cast it into a mold, and pour hot iron into it.
That culture is still alive and well. That's why I make sand casting works.
What a wonderful city this is.

TATAKI-AGE ≒ OLD SCHOOL
I want to make soft aluminum into a strong material.
From this idea, hammering, so-called forging.
Metal forging is a technique of forging a board by pounding it.
Anyone can do it with just a hammer and an anvil.
But, it can't be done easily. I can now do it though.
I've never used an English wheel.
I use my arms to the fullest. Hit it thousands or tens of thousands of times.
There is one thing that is different from a metalsmith.
The surface of my work is flat, and all the dents are on the back side.
Everyone thinks it's finished with English wheels.
Hit the hammer thousands or tens of thousands of times while constantly sharpening the surface of the hammer.
